Blender 2.9: The beginner's guide

One of the challenges that face an architectural visualization artist is to manage the files received by clients, and those files can come in a variety of formats. This wide range of file formats is the first obstacle to start a project because sometimes clients send files that are saved in versions not recognizable by Blender.

For instance, one of my students already has a copy of 3ds Max 2012, and send me a file saved in FBX to work on Blender. What if I couldn't import this file into Blender? To solve these types of problems, related to FBX files, we can use a new tool released by Autodesk, which is a free FBX converter, available for both Windows and Mac OS X.

With this new tool, we can take an FBX file and convert it to something like an OBJ file, which works great with Blender.

If you want to take a look at how this converter works, the video below shows an intro to the software.

I tried this tool but it was ignoring textures, I need those. Kind of important.
