Spin as a polar Array in Blender 2.5
After a really long period without producing any video tutorials, finally I got back with a new set of software and hardware to produce new videos. And yesterday I made a quick test with this new software and worked on a quick video. The video shows in a quick way, how to use the Spin tool in Blender 2.56 as a type of Polar Array. This question came to me a few weeks ago, when I was teaching a class at the college about Blender for modeling, and one of the students came from an AutoCAD background. And after playing around with the Array modifier, he asked me about the polar Array of AutoCAD, and how we can create such distribution on Blender?
The solution is the Spin tool, which is demonstrated in the video below:

As you may have notice, there is no audio on the video. Well, a nice microphone is the only thing still missing no my new recording gear.
The chair used in the video was downloaded from a free furniture library described here. So, you can expect more tutorials to come in the next few weeks, always with architectural visualization on the spot.
Nice trick. But why not use a regular array together with a rotated empty?
you can do it with the array modifier very easily with an empty.
You can see how in this tut for example:
