12 Free leather materials for Blender (PBR)

If you plan to start working on 3D models of furniture designs, you will need specialized materials for those objects. A library focusing on furniture is different from what we have in interior design. For instance, a surface that often appears in furniture models is leather, and it can be a plain leather surface or another with seams. Do you have a wide variety of leather materials in your library?

The guys of Ambient CG posted an update to their leather materials last week, adding another 12 options for download.

You can download each texture for free, and they also have a Creative Commons Zero license. That means you can do whatever you want with the textures, even redistribute them with a digital product. It can be a real-time visualization or a Blender file.

Another advantage of those assets has a PBR structure for each material. A separate map for each property in a material that boosts realism and makes it work great with the Principled BSDF shader of Blender.
