How to use the new Inset Polygon in Blender 2.58

Blender 3.0: The beginner's guide

You may be aware that last week a new version of Blender was released, and with Blender 2.58 a huge amount of bugs were fixed. But, among those bug fixes we have some new tools and options in Blender 2.58. One of those new tools is an Add-on called Inset Polygon that comes with Blender now, and to show you how it works, I manage to create a quick video about it.

This Add-on is the same that was already showed here on the blog, and is useful for architectural visualization, but still needs work. For instance, notice at the end of the video what happens when I try to use the inset with two perpendicular faces. If you want a better option, I still think the inset extrude is a better option for architectural modeling.

Yes I agree with you because the integrated “Inset Polygon” Addon is almost useless for Archviz.

    Kind regards
