IFC-native web-based modeler: Free and open-source

In our coverage on Blender 3D Architect, we've frequently highlighted ifc.js, a tool developed by Antonio González Viegas that introduced a method for loading and viewing IFC files through a web interface. Recently, Viegas established That Open Company, which is currently developing an open-source web-based IFC Native modeler.

Have you considered the possibility of working with IFC modeling directly in your browser? That's the innovation Viegas aims to deliver, with an anticipated launch in the summer of 2024.

Take a look at how the modeler employs booleans to manipulate doors and windows within 3D designs.

We'll announce the release date here on Blender 3D Architect as soon as it's confirmed.

For more information on their current IFC.js project, including a demo, visit the project's page.
