you set a directlighting integrator in the render tab, which is not meant to give good GI result (actually no light bounces!). keep experimenting with lux, it's gonna be great!

hi!
i think that an ideal render engine should'nt need infinite option to set to reach areal visualisation of evrything. We should have only to work on material assigned to objects.
I hope soon someone realise this! (does it exist at all?)

hi! been reading your blogs for some time now.. keep them coming :)

just had my lux in ubuntu 8.04(compiled it). mine doesn't seem to open the .lxs file automatically, though the lux render window opens as i press Render from the script window.

does your linux build open the .lxs automatically?

tried the windows version before i tried it in linux, and works fine, it automatically opens the .lxs file, then proceeds to rendering.

any idea what seems to be the problem?
